Sekela is the Amharic word for “the place where the Blue Nile is born.”
A quiet spring in the Ethiopian highlands—small yet powerful enough to become one of Earth’s great rivers.

This channel is my own Sekela
I am a storyteller, writer, director, & actor exploring the human experience through short films & narrative videos. Starts in Ethiopia, its languages, rhythms & everyday beauty—but each story carries questions we all share.
What does it mean to love and to lose? To search for home? To dream of something larger than ourselves?

Like the Blue Nile, these stories leave their birthplace & travel outward, touching distant lands & unfamiliar hearts. I want every project to be a bridge between Addis & NY b/n a quiet village & crowded city.
