Nelson lived at 5 Ninth Avenue in NYC and used a portable VHS camera, and later a handheld 8mm camcorder, to record his friends and houseguests. Lady Bunny, RuPaul, Larry Tee, Michael Alig & the Club Kids, Sylvia Miles, Michael Musto, Albert Crudo, John Sex, Deee-lite, Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman and Nelson's friend the tortured transvestite Christina are all part of his videos, which document Downtown NYC from the Pyramid Club to Limelight and Palladium.
