Drawing Forward
DRAWING FORWARD | Lecture Series Spring'22
Framing drawing as research, The Drawing Forward project wants to start looking at the idea that architecture, can be a remarkable conduit for the cultural debate that addresses 21st century issues that go beyond just, functional or programmatic problem solving. Looking into the verbalisation, visualisation and materialisation of spatial thinking and the architectural construct. Visual constructs, have the capacity to not only engage as a methodological tool, as well as change the architects’ conceptions of reality and influence the reader interpretation of a piece of work. Which in turn transform theories into new forms of knowledge. At its core DRAWING FORWARD presses on the idea of going beyond the givens in architecture and expanding the toolset in which architects and spatial practitioners operate within.
