Angel Dimitrov

ANGEL VALCHEV DIMITROV was born in town Haskovo - Bulgaria in 1967. He started his musical education at the age of 6 and since 1979 he has studied the Bulgarian folklore instrument Tambura, which let him enter the Secondary Music School in Shiroka Luka in 1981. After his graduation, his application for the National Academy for Musical and Dance art in Plovdiv was accepted. In his professional experience as a musician he has played equally well folk music, rock and ethno-jazz, and has been working with such famous musicians as Ivan Milev, Ivo Papazov, Petar Ralchev, Teodosi Spasov, Georgy Petrov, Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Peyo Peev, Brendan Power, Ray Fean, Fraser Fifield, Ionica Minune, Ross Daly, Derya Turkan, Sokratis Sinopoulos amongst many many others. The main stream, determining the Angel Dimitrov's style, presence in the family of the great world guitarists, is the traditional Bulgarian folklore - basic and inseparable detail in his creativity and improvisation.
