Ian Roberts
Welcome to my YouTube channel. In October, 2019 I decided to start these regular videos. My book Mastering Composition has sold over 45,000 copies. I've received letters and emails for years from students that have enjoyed it. Last year I decided after 25 years to stop teaching painting workshops. I had taught in Provence, France that whole time, as well as Maine, Taos, Point Reyes. I loved the camaraderie. I like teaching. So the weekly videos seemed like a nice continuation. The idea of the series allows for me to range around a bit. Videos on composition. On great painters, and paintings. On technique. On artistic vision. On authenticity.
Please do subscribe. Or you can sign up to receive the videos in an email twice a month.
May your brushes be light and free, Ian.
