Hi-Lo Jack

Hi-Lo Jack is a collaboration between three longtime friends from different musical worlds: Clyde Lawrence (of soul-pop band Lawrence), Cody Fitzgerald (of indie-rock band Stolen Jars), and Dolapo Akinkugbe (aka rapper/producer DAP The Contract). The trio met in college and quickly bonded over a shared love of genre-defying music, eventually merging their distinct sounds into one project. With influences ranging from Outkast to Randy Newman, Bon Iver to Stevie Wonder, and Dirty Projectors to Chance the Rapper, Hi-Lo Jack challenges genre boundaries while crafting a cohesive sound all its own. Clyde’s keyboard-driven soulful chord progressions and catchy melodies, Cody’s intricate guitar lines and rich textures, and Dolapo’s dynamic, high-energy verses weave together into a complex yet accessible musical tapestry.
