Anonymous Explorations

My love for urban exploration started about 20 years ago. Late one night, my friend and I were driving around exploring unfamiliar roads and we noticed a very overgrown driveway with no mailbox. At the top of the driveway there was a beautiful old colonial style house, clearly abandoned. Many things were packed away in tote bins, like they started to pack up and move out, but never finished. Many things were left behind.

That was 20 years ago. Present-day, I've been struggling with depression and lack of motivation, so I started reflecting on the simplest things that bring me joy. One of those things is urban exploration: discovering lost pieces of micro-history and the stories that the walls in abandoned houses keep secret. Now, I get to look forward to a new story each weekend and it's helping me out of my depression :)
