Dietmar Steinhaus

This channel contains foremost recordings of concerts I lead as the conductor of accordion-orchestras when I was a professional musician.

I´ve studied music at the Hamburger Konservatorium (accordion) and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (conducting). My goal was to help develop the music of accordion-orchestras that are privately organized in clubs. After working quite successfully since 1994 teaching students and building up youth groups and orchestras for clubs I had to put my professional efforts to an end in 2018 for the lack of sustainability working as an independent teacher and musician in Germany. I now quite happily am a teacher for music and other school subjects at a public high school in Lower Saxonia. In August 2021 I was forced out of the club I worked for since 2007 as the conductor of the club´s orchestra, in that losing my last orchestra and leaving behind all the work and effort I´ve put in my passion and some arrangements which will never be played.
