Why migrant doctor mum?
Anna is a doctor by profession; a mum of 3 that relocated from Kenya in search of 'greener pastures'. Starting life all over was not easy; new country, job, baby, schools for the kids with minimal social support. All this made it settling in harder.
“Since relocating my DMs were always full of questions ranging from licensing, registrations, exams, travel preparation etc. Although I was always keen to help, I discovered it was time consuming as I was doing it one on one. That's when the idea of a channel was born. A platform where I would provide information that could be assessed by anyone at a touch of a button. I will share my own experiences and that of others to show that one can make it in their new country. I will discuss issues that I wish I knew back then and tips that one can use to make life easier and less expensive for themselves and their families”
