Garo Hills Deaf Network
Garo Hills Deaf Network (GHDN) is a Deaf-led community initiative and Social platform dedicated to serving Deaf community of Garo Hills region, Meghalaya in Northeast, India.
GHDN works to raise awareness about the rights and needs of Deaf individuals, promote Accessibility, provide Education and Resources, and Advocate for inclusive policies. This network often works with local communities to bridge communication gaps through Sign Language and create opportunities for Deaf individuals to fully participate in society.
At GHDN, we believe that learning Sign Language is for everyone — free, inclusive, and always welcome! We encourage hearing people, schools, and organizations to learn and use Sign Language to build a more inclusive world.
Our vision is to create a society where Deaf people are respected, empowered, and given equal opportunities in education, employment, and decision-making.
GHDN is led by a Deaf Founder and Community leaders from Garo Hills, Meghalaya in NE, India.
