I'm Jonathan Heilig. I'm an author, illustrator, hardcore gamer, and English teacher from Boston. I first visited Istanbul in 2005, but finally made it my home in 2016.
I'm not an actual "Turk," but my wife Ipek and my daughter Zelda have given me a "Turk Pass." When Ipek and I aren't teaching, writing, traveling, or running around town with Zelda on our shoulders, you can find us at our family business: a children's bookstore in Erenköy called "Story Garden." 🇺🇸 🇹🇷
