UCIBrenICS
As the first computer science school in the University of California, the Bren School leads information technology education and research across the globe. Our 7,000+ alumni include Roy Fielding (BS '88, MS '93, PhD '00), the primary architect of HTTP/1.1, and Paul Mockapetris (PhD '82), inventor of the Domain Name System. The school's 900+ undergraduates and nearly 400 graduate students traditionally have some of the highest mean SAT and GRE scores on campus. Our student organizations also are among the most active at UCI, hosting tournaments, workshops, social functions and other events throughout the academic year that provide valuable networking and professional development opportunities for our students.
