Tempers

Tempers is the music project of New York-based singer-songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh, who blends emotionally resonant lyrics and an eclectic palette of electronic sounds into low-lit poetic synth-pop, with hints of techno, shoegaze and post-punk.

Tempers’ 2015 debut album, Services, included the underground dancefloor hit “Strange Harvest”. In 2019, Tempers released the LP Private Life, followed by New Meaning in 2022, which was accompanied by a book of Golestaneh’s original collage art. Tempers’ art world leanings have led to unique collaborations including performances in museums and galleries, an EP stemming from an artist residency with The Vinyl Factory, and the 2018 release of Junkspace feat. Rem Koolhaas.

The latest album Delusion, co-produced by Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht, featuring collaborations with artists Camille Henrot, Estelle Hoy and Sandra Mujinga, is set for release April 24th, 2026 on Golestaneh’s own new label fear of luxury, distributed by Cascine/Secretly.
