An Accountant who practiced as a Finance Executive and later as an auditor in a firm of chartered accountants Before He later gave heed to his call to music ministry and released his award winning Album titled Back to Base .

Asu Ekiye Is a multi Award winning Gospel musician of note.
A two time back to back winner of the Channel O best African Gospel artistes award.

He is renown to have popularized the Niger delta brand of gospel music all over the world and is widely traveled and has traversed continents to do what he knows best .

He is the immediate past Special Adviser to the Governor of Bayelsa State on Entertainment and Culture .

ASU Ekiye holds an honourary Doctorate Degree from Triune Biblical university Broklyn New York USA.

He is the current the Intl president of FOGMMON which is the Fellowship of gospel music ministers of Nigeria FOGMMON,
