Sawyer's Autism Journey

"I thought I would have to teach my child about the world. It turns out I have to teach the world about my child."

A little information on our family:
I'm Ashley. I am 32 years old and have been married to my husband, Eric, for 12 years. We have a hilarious, brilliant, and slightly nerdy (written in the most loving way possible) who is in 7th grade and is "neurotypical" AKA he's normal by testing standards. His name is Maddox. He has no cognitive delays. He is extremely gifted and is too smart and wise for his own good. We also have our beautiful red-headed Sawyer-bug who is 9. He truly is a miracle, and though some days are extremely overwhelming, he adds an indescribable feeling of joy in my heart daily. His laughter truly is contagious.
