Universal Music TV was born in 1998 when Seagram acquired PolyGram and merged the company's record labels under same umbrella. UMTV is currently the leading compilations company with every release receiving extensive TV advertising.

UMTV has been successful at compiling and marketing some of the best loved joint venture compilations: Clubland, The Kiss Presents Series, Kerrang, MTV Unplugged, Floorfillers, Steve Wright Sunday Love Songs, Virgin Radio, Capital Gold and many many more. UMTV has had phenomenal success with catalogue campaigns including The Shadows, Status Quo, Tony Christie, Barry White, Sam Cooke and Engelbert to name a few.
