I am a beekeeper in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I share my experiences, failures, successes. Raising honey bees that are resistant to varroa mites and queen breeding has reshaped how I think about beekeeping. I also focus on the application of data, research, and the science of beekeeping to natural and treatment-free beekeeping practices. Survival is more than just getting through the winter alive - it's the sustainability of the species through pest and pathogen resistance that piques my interest.
