Belinfante Quartet

The Belinfante Quartet is one of Holland's most adventurous string quartets, known for their genuine performances of pieces by lesser known masters, as well as achieving excellence in the core string quartet repertoire. Violinists Olivia Scheepers, Fiona Robertson, violist Henrietta Hill and cellist Pau Marquès i Oleo formed the quartet in 2016. Since then, the quartet has performed extensively in Europe.
Recently they recorded their second CD 'Parallel 40' with a program that takes inspiration from traditional music and composers from Spain, Italy, Greece, Uzbekistan, China and USA among others. Recorded in 2023 by 7 Mountain Records.
In 2022 they recorded 'Ellipse' with music by Benjamin Britten, Caroline Shaw and John Playford.
In 2021, they recorded quartets by Joseph Boulogne Chevalier de Saint-Georges and Henriëtte Bosmans.

With their name, the quartet would like to honour Frieda Belinfante, the first professional female conductor in Europe and a truly inspiring person.
