Evy Schubert

EVY SCHUBERT, born in 1981 in Bremen, Germany, living and working in Berlin, got educated as a director at the theatre Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin where she has worked with directors such as Herbert Fritsch and Dimiter Gotscheff. Furthermore Evy Schubert holds an education in photography (Spéos Photographic Institute, Paris) as well as an academic degree in communication science, social sciences and theatre science (University of Erfurt; Freie Universität Berlin). Her artistic work can be understood as a symbiosis of these fields in order to discover a sociopolitical phenomenon by aesthetical means. So far works of Evy Schubert have been screened at international film festivals, video art and performance festivals.
