Oklahoma Traveler
Eric Standridge is an author and historian that focuses on interesting places and history of Oklahoma.
He was raised in Naples, Florida and attended the University of South Florida. After college, he moved to Bridgeview, Illinois to work in the Information Technology industry. From Bridgeview, he moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and then to Tulsa, and finally settled down in Wister.
Starting in Naples, Standridge has worked in city planning, revitalization, and historic preservation, as well as a wide variety of odd jobs that has helped support his passion.
Today, he is the owner of Oklahoma Traveler. Oklahoma Traveler was formed in 2003 after Standridge arrived in Okmulgee. Since then, he has collected thousands of stories about the diverse state, which he publishes in various mediums from online to physical books.
