Dr. Çisem Gürel

Hello!

I'm Dr. Çisem Gürel. I completed my doctorate in the field of Preventive Mental Healthcare within the Departments of Child Development, Education & Psychology at the University of Amsterdam in 2022, focusing on "self." My research has focused on self-esteem, narcissism, mindsets, social comparisons, social anxiety, and motivation in children and adolescents. Additionally, I have explored how parents transmit their values and beliefs to their children.

I completed my MSc and MA degrees in Psychological Counseling, Child Development, Education & Psychology.

I am a master psychologist living in the Netherlands, working with children, adolescents, and adults. I also teach research, information, and academic skills to master's and doctoral students at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Utrecht University.

I will be sharing scientific practices related to #psychology, #pedagogy, and #academia via this channel whenever possible. I hope you find it helpful.
