Led by Educator / Songwriter “Smokestack Joe”, his group explores musical styles and employ diverse influences (50's Rockabilly and 60's Pop Rock, to Folk/Americana and pared-down Singer/Songwriter stylings) to deliver instantly memorable songs filled with imagery and themes that appeal to children and their grown-ups alike.
The Conductors began when group leader Joe Hutchinson’s son was diagnosed with AUTISM. A kid fascinated with trains, Joe had the idea to marry both his child’s and his own passions… TRAINS & ROCK N ROLL, as a way to reach his son, and to enrich the lives of similar families.
