The fire-ground is dynamic and ever changing. It requires continuous learning and improvement in order to be effective while operating in this environment. Being able to see and hear what we did on a fire incident is critical and viewing 'game film' does just that.

It started with photos, then occasionally video was available from a local news outlet. After that, it was the neighbor or off duty guy with a shoulder mounted VHS video recorder. Now we have the ability to shoot from helmet cams and GoPro's, and bystanders record on their phones. These are incredible tools for us to not only see what occurred from various perspectives, but to fill-in the blanks and learn from the incident we recorded. This ability has changed the game on fire training and self improvement as a firefighter or fire officer.
