Church Music Box Player

Simple, high-quality cajon performances of songs that are commonly used in churches. Cajons fit into the musical picture in a unique way- usually as a drum-kit fill-in, but one that non-drummers (or non-musicians) often get asked to play.

Sometimes the best way to learn a song is to watch or play along with someone else- I’ve learned or sharpened my playing on quite a few songs by watching Youtube videos of drummers playing them. The best I could find for equipping new cajon players were a scattering of cover videos, spanning a huge range of skills and sound qualities. If I could even find a video for every song I wanted to pass on to aspiring rhythmists at my church, I’d have to vet each one individually.

With the gap in the church music education content glaring, I decided to make the videos I was looking for.

I hope this is helpful for brave musicians who are stepping into new roles, and that they’re more equipped to lead others in musical worship of our eternally creative God.
