Jon Arthur Schmidt
Jon Arthur Schmidt is a singer/songwriter and recording artist. At age 19 he began writing seriously and produced his first album, a collection of alternative/folk songs driven by his unique finger-picking style and percussion background, that he recorded and mixed in a Swiss Alps themed cottage in Watertown, MN. After a seven year wilderness period he returned to the studio and recorded two more albums inspired by his spiritual transformation and reflections from this time; in which he began experimenting with more piano based arrangements, while collaborating with local Minneapolis musicians.
Jon Arthur continues to write, arrange, and record music and has most recently been spending his time at The Library studio in Minneapolis with longstanding producer Matt Patrick.
