My name is Ron Mackenzie, Chief Wandering Officer of The Safari Guys, founder of Embassy Direct and creator of Small Town South Africa.
I make videos showing you a South Africa that’s often overlooked - real people, real places and genuine stories from the road. From tiny Karoo towns to coastal villages, I sit with locals, share a coffee, meal, or a few beers. You’ll meet farmers, artists, teachers, surfers and wanderers - the everyday people who make this country extraordinary.
My love for my country is not defined by its politics, but for its landscapes and the beautiful souls I meet along the way. When we look for the good, we don’t just find it, we start to see it everywhere.
My mission is to uncover those good news stories and pockets of excellence as well as to play a tiny role in a brighter future for my homeland.
