Carmel Doll Shop was founded in 1989 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, by antiques dealers Michael Canadas and David Robinson. Over the years, the shop has become well known for offering the highest quality antique dolls and toys in a beautiful and imaginative setting. Michael is delighted to share his insights into the fascinating world and history of the doll making arts. His appreciation and knowledge of historical context, cultural movements and production techniques through the ages gives new understanding of "the doll" as it relates to societal currents and changes.
