Civic Design Center
Founded in 2000, the Civic Design Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for civic design visions and actionable change in communities to improve quality of life for all.
We carry out community engagement and design work under four focus areas: Education & Advocacy, Mobility & Land-Use, Reclaiming Public Space, and Shaping Healthy Communities. We also have four ongoing programs: Design Your Neighborhood, Design with Pets in Mind, Nashville Urban Studio with UTK CoAD, and TURBO (Tactical Urbanism Organizers).
