LITA Love is the Answer
LITA, a nonprofit organization in Marin County, CA, provides volunteer friends, musicians, and pets to bring the warmth and vitality of the Marin community directly to long-term care residents to lessen their feelings of loneliness and isolation.In the Spring of 2020 we added YouTube videos of local volunteers so our resident Buddies could see familiar faces while we are all isolated from visiting. It is no substitute for the power of being present, but perhaps it gives the residents a small feeling of being cherished and loved.
