Jeff's Destination Kyoto
Hello! My name is Jeff Berglund. I was born and brought up in the United States, but I've been living in Kyoto, Japan since 1969, when I came to study Japanese language and culture. Living in Kyoto for more than 44 years and doing TV reporting on the lifestyles and culture of the people in Kyoto, I have a treasure chest of knowledge about this wonderful place. All of my TV work has been in Japanese, but I have decided to give something back to this city that I love by creating a site in English that introduces Kyoto to the world. We've subtitled all the video clips in Japanese and kept them fairly short. Whether your language is English or Japanese, we hope you enjoy the video clips, but more than that, we hope that experiencing Kyoto this way on the Internet will make you actually want to come and visit! Kyoto is indeed one of the finest cities in the world!
