World Headache Society (WHS)

Our mission includes to widen the outreach of evidence-based headache medicine everywhere, founded on high quality education and research.

As headache is the most common neurological illness affecting nearly a quarter of mankind and the commonest cause of disability under the age of 50 years, the under-diagnosis and misdiagnosis of (more than 250 types of) headaches can be devastating and even fatal.

This would also mean increasing training in headache medicine at undergraduate and postgraduate medical education all over the world , especially in our resource limited countries of ASIA, AFRICA and SOUTH AMERICAN Continents.
