It started with a passion for aviation Handed down from father to son.

I was fascinated by planes from a young age. After watching a cartoon at age six and seeing a futuristic flying machine on Care Bears, I told my father – a trained pilot – that I wanted one of my own. My father told me that it didn’t exist in real life, but that he could take him flying, so he called his old instructor and we went on a helicopter ride.

We both loved it so much that father decided to get his helicopter license, and then he bought a small two-seater helicopter R22 – one of three in Greece at the time. We would fly together whenever we could, kickstarting a love of aviation that was set to last a lifetime and now many years after I am training to get my own pilot’s licence.
