Goodwill Cup

The "Goodwill Cup" has a chequered and rather unusual history. It’s said to be one of the oldest trophies in the world, Originally, the Goodwill Cup was a horse racing trophy presented by Queen Victoria.
In 1933, internal tensions disrupted the harmony of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS).
To help mend the divide, Doctors Bostock and L.J. Nye donated the Cup for a race across the bay.
The event was so successful that they donated a second cup specifically for sailing yachts.
In 1962, a yacht replaced the horse as the competing vessel, marking the beginning of the rivalry between Southport Yacht Club and Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron RQYS.
The original Goodwill Cup was made in 1814, the Americas cup was made in 1848 making the Goodwill Cup the oldest cup ever made for a sporting event in the World.
Over the Years RQYS is only slightly in the lead for wins and losses
RQYS seems to be on a winning run but for how long ?
the Bad will became the "GOODWILL".
