Shine Jogja is a community of Christians with the call to bring the light of Christ’s love to the world. At the foundation of this community is the grace-full love of Christ, a love that goes beyond all boundaries. Members of the Shine community are not the ‘all so-good people’, instead Shine community members are “the wretch saved by grace”, who are called to bear the good tidings of grace to the world. The call is to love, the way they are loved by God through Christ. That is why beside sunday services, bible studies and prayer meetings, Shine activities are frequenttly among the socially outcasted people, providing basic care and education for the poor and the outcasts.
