Lighting Up Paxton

Lighting Up Paxton is the online home of the Johnson Christmas Display by Victor Johnson of Paxton, Illinois. It is a 140,000 light music-synchronized display located in central Illinois, about two hours south of Chicago. The display was last lit in 2017 and featured nine different songs broadcast to vehicles via low-power FM transmitter. The display is nearly all incandescent and utilizes 336 computer channels with Light-O-Rama hardware and software. It has been a Paxton, Illinois attraction since the 1990s and gained notoriety in 2011 when music synchronization was added. The display did not operate in 2015 or 2016, before making a return in 2017.

This channel features videos of the synchronized Christmas display, as well as other how-to videos from myself, the creator, Victor Johnson. Additional videos are planned, so please subscribe. Thank you!
