In the 00s I developed a hobby at that time of trading with collectors worldwide, exchanging CDRs of broadcast gigs by both local artists and ‘big names’. Nothing was sold of course, and no officially released material exchanged. I’ve had these CDRs in boxes literally under the bed ever since, the rise of Youtube and its progression to full length uploads rendering those old international trading networks largely obsolete. It recently occurred to me that I’ll croak one day and these boxes will likely end up in a skip, with hundreds of hours of rare and perhaps unique recordings lost forever. I am thus making my collection available via this channel, effectively as an archive. Please note that I am providing this channel purely to contribute to the global cultural heritage of jazz and related music. To the best of my knowledge nothing posted is or has been commercially available or officially released. In the event of any copyright concerns please contact me and I will happily remove.
