I'm an engineer from Switzerland exploring Europe's forgotten historical sites. While tourists visit famous monuments, I seek places where history happened but few ever go – overgrown battlefields, hidden ruins, abandoned fortifications and neglected monuments.

Using historical maps, archives, books and GIS, I track down these lost locations. Whether georeferencing WWI trench maps to find now invisible battle lines, locating forgotten medieval sites, or identifying former military positions now reclaimed by forest, each site tells part of Europe's story.
