Tartu observatoorium on Tartu Ülikooli loodus- ja täppisteaduste valdkonna koosseisu kuuluv instituut.
Tartu observatooriumi põhiülesanne on õppe-, teadus- ja arendustöö ning ühiskonnale vajalike teenuste osutamine astronoomia, kaugseire ja kosmosetehnoloogia alal ning nende siduserialadel.
Tartu observatoorium asub Tartumaal Nõo vallas Tõraveres.
