Saxophonics-Tavistock.
Saxophonics is a community saxophone ensemble. The band has over 26 members from across Devon and Cornwall, and plays a selection of music arranged for soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones.
Playing in a group is a great way to gain confidence & skills.
Performances are played in public several times a year .
Saxophonics rehearse on most Tuesdays throughout the year, including school holidays. There are some exceptions, mainly for our irregular social evenings normally held whenever there is a 5th Tuesday in the month .
New saxophone players are most welcome, from about grade 3 (or equivalent experience) to grade 8 and beyond. Music grades are not a requirement & many members have no qualifications . Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, 7-9 pm, in Tavistock (King’s Hall, Pixon Lane, PL19 9AZ). Subscription is £5 per month.
