The arabic word Tariqah means path and refers to a Sufi communty . In the 13th Century the Tariqah Burhaniya has been founded by sidi Abul- Hassan Al Shazali and Sidi Ibrahim Alqurshi El dissuqi.
Tariqah Burhaniya Dissuqiya Shazaliya refering to its founder {Burhanu-adin a surname of Sidi Ibrahim El dissuqi which means the evidence of religion .

The Tarigah Burhaniya was renewed by Sidi Fakhru'adin El Shiekh Mohammed Osman Abdu El Burhani{1902- 1983}. Its leadership has been brought forward from El Shiekh Mohammed Osman Abdu El burhani to his Son Maulana El Shiekh Ibrahim and therefore to his Grandson, the current Khaliefa { leader } of the Tariqah Burhaniya Dissqiya Shazaliya Maulana El Shiekh Mohammed {rata} .

Tariqah Burhaniya is a Sufi order for both women and men that has been spreading everywhere specially in Africa, Mid-East, Europe and the West for quite some times. They follow the Sufi Path which relates to all aspects of daily life .
There are many Burhaniya Sufi Centres {Zawiya} around the World. Where we meet reguarly to do Spiristual Activities together, to pray , to learn , to celeberate religous occasions and to socialize. Every Thursday & Sunday night a Hadara takes place " A common Practice of the Sufis which opens the Hearts to the God's Love" .
