LA Go Kart Guy
The first-ever documented go kart was created in Los Angeles by Art Ingels in 1956. The first official organized race took place with several dozen home-built machines in 1957 in the parking lot of the famed Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. I have always wanted to have a go kart since I was a kid, and the interest in these small race cars lay dormant for several decades. But, with the changes brought about by COVID-19, I realize how short life can be and that the time to pursue our dreams is NOW.
There doesn't seem to be a YouTube channel with anyone building go karts in Los Angeles, so, I'm hoping to fill that role. California is a special place to me and with it being the birth place of go karts, I'm hoping to help and inspire others here and everywhere in their quest for go kart racing fun!
