The Helping Hand Project at UNCC
The Helping Hand Project (HHP) is a non-profit organization which supports children with upper limb-differences. The HHP operates in North Carolina, has four student chapters at UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, Durham Tech, and NCSU, and participates in the broader eNable ecosystem.
The HHP began as a student group at UNC Chapel Hill in the fall of 2014, when founder Jeff Powell used available community designs to create a device for a local child. HHP was then founded with the goal of working alongside the global network of eNable volunteers and the broader community to bring 3D printed prosthetic hands to children and families.
