Independent Film Festival Boston
The largest film festival in New England, Independent Film Festival Boston has been celebrating stories and storytellers year-round since 2003. Over 100 films play at the spring festival—both world premieres and the best films culled from Sundance, SXSW, Toronto, and others—and the celebration extends throughout the year to preview screenings and the Fall Focus mini-festival. IFFBoston is a 501(c)3 non-profit run entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to building community through film. While ticket sales help pay for much of the festival, the organization relies heavily on further public support in the form of memberships and donations. Thanks to our audience’s commitment, the festival has run for over 15 years, winning awards from Boston Magazine and Boston A-List, and acclaim from local film critics—including The Boston Globe’s Ty Burr, who called it the “best film fest in the city.”
