Phil Whitley. My Week this Week.
Documenting my workshop , machinery, projects and what I get up to as a retired electrical engineer working 5 days a week on the East Yorkshire Wolds. The wife insists I have weekends off! Never mind, Gives me chance to do internet research on engineering, and machine tools. I like to repair, refurbish, rebuild, innovate and even invent in order to solve problems in electro mechanical devices, and there is no small amount of tinkering too! I served an apprenticiship with a local industrial electrical contractor, and did three years at technical college, culminating in a City and Guilds National Diploma in Electrical engineering. I have been self employed since the age of 21, and have worked in many different engineering and non engineering fields. My last paid employment was as the MD of a wireless ISP company which I set up, which still serves many clients in out of the way places in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. I am 68 years old, and have dreadlocks down to my ar*e!
