Maine Township High School District 207
Maine Township District high schools and one academy serve approximately 150,000 residents in all or parts of nine communities including Des Plaines, Glenview, Harwood Heights, Morton Grove, Niles, Norridge, Norwood Park Township, Park Ridge and Rosemont covering about 32 square miles right outside the city of Chicago. Total enrollment is 6,300 students grades 9-12.
It is one of 25 school districts in the U.S. in 2018 to be honored by AASA as one of the "Most Innovative School Districts" for its unique approach to expand support teacher learning and student success both during and after high school. Tech Insider named the district's three schools to its list of "The 14 Most Innovative Schools in America." The Washington Post and US News have ranked its schools as one of the nation's best high schools.
Maine Township High School District 207’s rich history dates back to April of 1901, when residents voted to establish a local high school.
