NIPPO 公益社団法人 日本犬保存会

The Nihon Ken Hozonkai (Japanese Dog Preservation Society), commonly referred to as NIPPO, was founded in 1928. As the oldest canine registry in Japan, NIPPO has over 90 years of authority and tradition. In 1932 the first issue of “Nihon Ken” was published, the registry was organized, and pedigrees were issued. On September the 1st, 2011, as part of the new national public interest incorporation reform, NIPPO became the first canine registry in Japan to be certified as a ‘public interest incorporated association’.

日本犬保存会は、昭和３年(1928)に創設され、日本国内において、最古の犬種団体としての権威と90年の伝統を備えています。昭和７年(1932)には、会誌「日本犬」を創刊。犬籍簿を整備し、血統書を発行。平成23年9月1日には国の公益法人制度改革により、内閣総理大臣から国内の犬種団体で初の公益社団法人として認定されました。
