Beijing Guitar Duo
Beijing Guitar Duo gave its New York debut at Carnegie Hall in 2010 and has since performed throughout Europe, Asia, and North America in such venues as Concertgebouw, the Grand Hall at the Moscow Conservatory, Palau de la Música, 92nd Street Y, and Spivey Hall. The guitarists’ wide repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary music; and their first CD, Maracaipe, received a Latin Grammy nomination for the title piece. Their latest disc, China West, a collaboration with Manuel Barrueco, was released in May 2014. The duo has been a San Francisco Performances resident artist since 2011.
