WSU Advisor Training Academy

The WSU Advisor Training Academy (ATA) was launched in fall of 2014. It grew out of a campus-wide initiative from the Office of the Provost to improve undergraduate advising services at Wayne State University. The University's commitment to advising was seen as a critical step toward improving student support, persistence and graduation and included the hiring of 45 new advisors, an investment in advising technology, and a commitment to providing consistent and timely training for advisors.

The ATA offers four different types of programming: drop-ins, advising circles, workshops and training series. This YouTube channel serves as place to house trainings for academic advisors and success coaches to return to when needed.
