OpenCAMD

OpenCAMD was created with the idea that mechanical designers should have complete control over their design tools. The only way to practically realize this vision is to utilize open source software. In addition to limiting the designer's freedom, proprietary design tools are often too expensive for small businesses, hobbyists, and students. If nothing else, open source design tools are an additional set of valuable tools for any mechanical designer's toolbox.
