Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center
The Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to inform and educate the public on avalanche conditions in the backcountry of the Eastern Sierra Nevada of California. ESAC employs three full-time, seasonal avalanche forecasters who gather avalanche, snowpack, and weather observations and use that data to create and issue avalanche advisories and avalanche warnings.
